Is physical therapy at home, right for you?
Yes, I am...
- a senior starting to worry about balance and have had a near fall.
- less active, don't know how to start exercising or even if it's safe with your medical history including cardiac conditions.
- active and work out a few times a week but wonder what else you can do to stay that way.
- worried about my stroke, a diagnosis of Parkinson disease or other neurological conditions and looking to delay the disease and maximize your daily function and participation.
- not happy with my posture, functional mobility and want to form better daily habits but too overwhelmed at where to start.
- recovering from orthopedic surgery and were discharged from home health physical therapy services and can't drive three times a week to the prescribed physical therapy clinic especially during our rainy season!
- not willing to accept that certain things are a "normal part of aging" and want to delay mental decline and enhance longevity.
- not a fan of driving or your eye sight is not what it used to be; or you don't want to inconvenience a family member.
Yes! I am interested. Now what?
Washington state allows direct access to physical therapy services with provisions. That means you don't have to go to your medical doctor to see a physical therapist.
You can request an evaluation- first visit. I'll create your treatment plan and communicate with your primary medical doctor. The next step is to request a referral from your doctor for continued physical therapy if that's right for you. We do this because most insurance plans still require a doctor referral to approve payment.
Even better? Do you have a referral for outpatient physical therapy? Send that to me and we can start right away.
Please call or email me to talk about the right path for you.
